Countertop Pop Up Electrical Outlet With USB Charging And Metal Back Box

The Lew Electric PUFP-CT-WT-MB is a GFCI protected power outlet pop up box designed to be hidden in your kitchen countertop, or any location that might encounter water. When in the closed position the top sits just above the counter, creating a sleek and attractive look in your kitchen. When you need access to power and charging, simply press the button and the outlet flips up so you can plug in. The top is white which blends well with white countertops, the top is metal making it scratch-resistant and extremely durable to the rigors of daily use and cleaning.

Meets NEC Electrical Code 2023 406.5E for Installation in Countertops

The pop up meets 2017, 2020, and 2023 NEC 406.5E for kitchen countertop installations in the USA and Canada. The single duplex GFCI outlet has tamper-proof plugs and is UL 498 listed. The pop up has passed the UL 498 half-gallon spill test, as well as endurance, mechanical load, dielectric voltage, and temperature tests. There is also a gasket under the bezel to keep liquids from entering the sides between the countertop and the base of the pop up.

Easy to Install Hardwired Application with a Shallow Depth

The pop up only needs 2.25” of space under a 3cm countertop, and requires a 4 1/16” x 4 1/16” hole to be cut to install. Included is a metal back box that attaches to the underside of your countertop with glue for stone, or screws for wood. The outlet does not have a power cord, simply hardwire your power into the outlet by first running it through the knockouts in the rear of the back box. 

Tamper-Proof GFCI Power Outlet

The outlet is 20 Amp rated allowing the most power hungry small appliances to be plugged in. The outlet has integrated GFCI protection providing safety right at the source, if the outlet recognizes an unsafe interruption in the current, it will automatically shut off power to the outlet. The plugs are tamper resistant (TR) meeting code, and offer the peace of mind knowing that children can’t put small objects into the sockets and electrocute themselves. The 20A outlet is backwards compatible with 15A plugs, meaning that both 15A plugs and 20A plugs, can be plugged into the outlet. The outlet meets the ANSI/UL 943 standard for safety for ground fault circuit interrupters.

A pop up outlet centrally located in your counter adds convenience to provide power and charging where you need it most. You no longer have to plug into the side of your island, and run the cord over the counter and hope it reaches to the middle of your island. The pop up can be installed in granite, quartz, wood, laminate, concrete, or any surface up to 2″ thick that you can cut the required 4 1/16” x 4 1/16” hole.
